Project 365: November
Well, November was certainly full of surprises! Most notably the early entry to the world of our son James Webb. The hectic times that come with a newborn, combined with the rushed feeling of him coming nearly a month early almost derailed the #project365 efforts! A few “rules” may have been fudged when it comes to a photo a day, but hey, it’s my project so I get to set the rules.
Also, don’t worry the rest of this year in photos won’t be an endless stream of baby photos. While I do love the heck out of our new little guy and his sweet big sister, there are multiple reasons my wife and I don’t flood the internet with pics of our kids. Aside from not being “those parents” online, there are also lots of concerns my generation never faced growing up that led to our decision to keep photos of our kids offline.
Favorite Shot this month: When you come across a stuffed raccoon sitting on a mantel eating Cracker Jacks, you simply must take a picture of it. It was at a grand opening preview of Leiper’s Fork Distillery (which is AMAZING,) and fits the personality of the owners perfectly. It serves no purpose other than to have fun in their tasting room and to that I say…. Mission. Accomplished. I mean, it’s a raccoon eating Cracker Jacks! What is not to love?
Something new this month: While I have been to Chattanooga many times, I have never really had much time to explore while there. On a work trip this month I had a night to myself in the River City so, of course, one of my first stops was Broad Street. I was headed to the Moon Pie General Store when I came across a candy store speaking to my love of taffy. When I saw this sight, my first thought was exactly how many can you eat in one sitting before hitting official “you’ll rot your teeth out” status?
