Project 365: January
The first month of #Project365 has been eye opening…. in that it is going to be MUCH HARDER than I anticipated.
You know when they say not to take on a really big New Years resolution, I’d now add not trying to commit yourself to a daily task, while also starting a new job and living with a one-year old. Life has a way of getting in the way of your best laid plans. Regardless of the shock to my schedule loving self, I managed to ease into a routine and snap a shot every day of January.
I had originally planned to include only new daily content, but given the fact some days there just isn’t a moment to snap a fresh shot (that is interesting) I occasionally dive into the archives to have a bit of Throw Back Thursday fun and hook onto a relevant headline of the day.
Favorite Shot this month: We got a rare deep snow (in Tennessee terms, that means more than 6 inches) and while it crippled Nashville for about a week, it made for some great photo ops, including this snow covered shot of the Harpeth River that runs behind our house.
Something new this month: I’ve always liked the scenic shots of an open highway, but ironically never stopped and taken the time to actually shoot one. With my new job I travel over the Natchez Trace double arch bridge every day, which is one of the most famous and most photographed bridges in the country. If I was ever going to get my scenic highway shot, this was the place.
